INSOMNE is a Barcelona studio specialized in 2D animation, which also manages and develops audiovisual projects in an integral way. From the idea that gives life to the script to the final editing, INSOMNE team assumes and accompanies each phase of the production process of a project.
Alex Morales and Santi Comella are the creative and untiring minds behind INSOMNE, a company that came to life in early 2009, when its founders decided to join efforts under one roof to develop design and animation projects – and also assume together the expenditure on coffee, the inseparable elixir of this office-.
With the passing of the years, several services and own productions -and triple cups of ‘espresso’-, the family of INSOMNE has grown into an unequaled team of professionals and creatives, that from its center of operations located in Terrassa, supports and bets for quality productions with people who enjoy and put all their passion in all they do.

Santi trabajaba como free-lance haciendo de dibujante, diseñador y ilustrador, pero sobretodo como realizador, dirigiendo proyectos de animación para televisión tales como ‘King Arthur Disaster’s’ (Citv, UK) , ‘2020’ (Animation World/ Antena 3 tv, ESP), ‘La Brigada dels Fossers’ (Neptuno Films / TV3 Televisió de Catalunya, ESP) , ‘Bandolero’ (Neptuno Films / Canal Sur, ESP), ‘Stone Age’ (BKN Kids, USA),etc… y ha participado haciendo storyboards, diseñando personajes o como animador en muchos otros proyectos para distintas productoras de televisión y publicidad.
En el pasado, Alex ha realizado trabajos tanto de composición como de animación, infografía o rigging de personajes en muchas series de animación.
‘Connie the cow’ (Neptuno Films, ESP), ‘Sea Princesses’ (Southern Star, AUS), ‘King Arthur Disaster’s’ (CITV, UK) , ‘Stone Age’ (BKN Kids, USA),’Sincopats’ (Tomavistas,ESP) o ‘Lapitch, the little shoemaker’ (Croatia Films), son algunas de las series destacadas en las que ha participado.
